Pop group Red Jumpsuit Apparatus rose to prominence in 2006 after the release of their hit song Face Down which highlights the problem of domestic violence. Metal group Deaf Symphony has partnered with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Country music artist Rebecca Lindsey is joining in the effort to make Every Home a Safe Home with her song "I Will Be" which has been endorsed by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Toni Childs won an Emmy for the music and lyrics to "Because You're Beautiful," a song she wrote at the request of Eve Ensler,playwright/activist, creatorof the "Vagina Monologues" and founder of V-Day, "a global movement to end violence against women and girls that raises funds and awareness."
